Last weekend I attended the 10th Oklahoma Video Game Exhibition (OVGE). We had a modest vendor/exhibitor table, showcasing my recent C64C Gold mod and a variety of old logo t-shirts for sale. (Related: I wrote a simple one-file C64 demo for the show here.)
As always, the show was a lot of fun. A nice family-friendly event focusing mostly on vintage/retro games and hardware; it’s enjoyable to chat with people about the systems they owned, and always a treat when children sit down in front of my Commodore and really get into playing a simple, fun game like Bandits.
Here’s a few photos and a video walk-around.
- Nintendo Okie was there, giving away prizes for answering trivia questions.
- Nice selection of arcade cabs to enjoy
- Star Wars: always a great hit. This time it lasted the whole show!
- Not all games; here’s an Altair 8800 on display.
- Lots and lots of stuff!
- The C64C got a lot of attention.
- 8 bits can still be fun. Who knew?
